The wind, a symbol of rebirth, theme of the 2010 Cartiere del Garda Calendar

“In the Wind”, the 2010 Cartiere del Garda Calendar, uses the metaphor of wind sweeping away the clouds and forming a symbol of change, bringing strength and faith into our world.

Twelve images express natural actions and singular movement, using the body of the two models with flowing hair blown by the wind.

The movement of the two figures is not weighed down with jewellery or accessories; instead they are dressed in silk, linen and organza, caressing the body blown by the wind, representing nature and simplicity. 

The use of black and white highlights the strength of the lighting - at times bold, sometimes delicate - that falls across the photographs. The images were created in Helsinki by Marko Rantanen, the young Finnish photographer broadly celebrated on the international stage.
