Last night the first Italian edition of IAB MIXX took place at Magna Pars in Milan, an international award for the best digital communication projects of 2011.
Imille won the IAB MIXX Best Mobile App prize, awarded by IAB Italia to the best digital platform for smartphones. "Top of the Italian Wine Guides" designed and produced by Imille has been recognized as the best between 9 projects in nomination.
The application is the mobile version of "Top of the Wine Guides 2011", the guide produced by Civiltà del Bere, one of the most important Italian magazine in the wine industry. Civiltà del Bere asked Imille to design a free app of the guide. A few days from its launch in the Italian Apple Store the app reached the top in the Lifestyle category and entered the Top 10 Apps Free chart.
The app presents wines that received at least one vote of excellence in one of the six main enological Italian guides. It offers cross searching on criteria useful for professionals but interesting at the same time for amateurs. Results: 30.000 downloads in two months from launch (April 2011).
